Mônica Vidiz among world’s top ten in the 2008 FEI ranking

A year of many victories for Mônica Vidiz, young rider from Haras Endurance stud farm, yielded her sixth place in the 2008 FEI ranking: a great achievement to start the new year with her right foot forward.

Throughout 2008 the endurance rider exhibited important results, with special emphasis on the title of young rider 120km Brazilian champion with Itório MK, and the individual and team victory in the Copa das Nações, astride Thayza HCF. In addition, she won a silver medal in the Copa Internacional de Avaré, in May, riding Bahani HCF.

Mônica was not the only one to reap the laurels, as in all three rides she also received the Best Condition trophy, demonstrating the quality of the work performed by the Haras Endurance team.

Besides having been a member of the Brazilian team that took home the gold medal in the Copa das Nações in Mogi, Mônica also represented Brazil another two times during the year. In Casorate Sempiano, in Italy, and in Pau, in France, rides in which she took part in an exchange with other riders, mounting their horses and acquiring more experience.

The Brazilian rider is on the top ten list together with riders from Uruguay, South Africa, Spain, Argentina, Belgium and Qatar. Other Brazilians rank among the twenty best in the world: Carolina Barbosa and Rafael Salvador, from Minas, and Ana Luiza Lahud, from São Paulo.
